Secondary School — Bilingual, Future-Oriented Education
At Alanya American International School, we are dedicated to raising future-ready individuals capable of generating new knowledge from what they have learned. We offer an education aligned with international standards, designed to unlock each student’s full potential and nurture their lifelong love of learning.
Our mission is to develop self-aware, socially responsible, and globally competent students who are fluent in both Turkish and English, and who respect diversity, nature, and human values. We emphasize freedom of thought, cultural understanding, and the ability to meet tomorrow’s challenges with confidence and creativity.
Bilingual Education System
Rather than teaching English as a separate subject, we provide true bilingual education—where English becomes a natural part of daily life. In our kindergarten and primary school, each classroom has two teachers: a native or fluent English teacher and a classroom teacher. Through this immersive environment, our students develop native-level fluency in English by the end of primary school.
European Language Portfolio
Alanya American International School is one of the few institutions in Türkiye authorized to issue the European Language Portfolio (ELP), a prestigious language learning record recognized across Europe.
Based on the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR), the ELP helps students:
-
Track their language skills and cultural experiences
-
Practice self-assessment and autonomous learning
-
Build a personal portfolio of certificates, projects, and achievements
ELP Sections include:
-
Language Passport: A summary of language proficiency and levels based on CEFR descriptors
-
Language Biography: Self-awareness, intercultural experiences, and “Can Do” self-assessments
-
Dossier: Supporting documents such as certificates, sample projects, and written work
By integrating the ELP and bilingual learning, our students develop not just linguistic skills, but also global literacy and intercultural competence—crucial for success in a connected world.
